Grant Application Procedure

If you have not previously received a Livingston Foundation Grant and believe you are a qualified organization that meets the Foundationís criteria for a grant, you need to submit a brief introductory letter. This letter should contain a concise statement of the need for funds, the amount sought and enough factual information to enable the Foundation to determine its initial response. Introductory letters will be reviewed by Foundation staff. Eligible organizations with programs or projects that are consistent with current priorities and most closely meet the Foundationís selection criteria will be included on the Foundationís mailing list.

Mailing List

If you are an agency on the approved Foundation mailing list, you will receive in the 4th quarter of each year the instructions and forms required to prepare and submit a formal application.

Formal Application

The formal application for a grant must be submitted to the Foundation prior to the application deadline set for each yearís grant cycle. It is required that an original and 8 copies of the application plus 3 copies of the required financial statements. Applications are reviewed by staff for the conformance with the Foundation criteria. A site visit may be made to discuss the grant application. Final grant decisions are made by the Foundation Board and notice of the grant awards are mailed prior to the following April 30th.
